Fine art Newborn & Family photography

FAQ

When is the best time to book a newborn photography session?
To capture the sweetest, sleepiest moments, it’s best to book your session during pregnancy or as soon after birth as possible- newborn photoshoots happen within the first 10 to 16 days when babies are most calm and easy to pose.

How do you ensure the safety of my baby during the photoshoot?
Your baby’s safety is my highest priority. I use tried and tested posing techniques and maintain a warm, comfortable environment. I never force poses that may cause discomfort.

What should we bring to the session?
You don’t need to bring much just your baby’s favourite comfort items if you wish. Extra feeds if not breast feeding, and a dummy for settling. All wraps, blankets, and props will be provided. Baby is fed on arrival at the studio so there nice and full to start.

Can family members join the newborn session?
Absolutely! I’m happy to include siblings and parents during the session to create beautiful memories together. Pet’s are welcome too!

Do you take deposits, and are they refundable?
A fee of £70 is required once your baby has been born, and this covers the cost of your session, the use of the studio and my time and talent as skilled and trained newborn photographer. You will be sent my full pricing guide again upon booking. There are no hidden costs.

What’s your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
These things happen especially with newborns, I just ask that you try to give me as much notice as possible so that I can offer the slot to someone else. I will of course offer you another date with no extra charge, but this will only be offered once due to the nature of bookings and other clients that I need to accomodate.

When will we receive our final images?
You will receive your viewing gallery the same evening as your session! I know you’ll be as excited as me to see your images! Your gallery (which can only be accessed via the link on your email) will be active for 2 days, once you have selected your images, these will be sent to you via a download link (full resolution for printing) If you have opted for wall art or prints, these can take 7-10 days to be printed, and a further 5-7 days to be posted to you.

Do we get copyright or usage rights?
You are given full printing rights with you images, and a print certificate is emailed to you with your images. As the photographer the copyrights remain with myself. You are not permitted to edit the images or use them in competitions as your own images.

Can I get unedited or raw images?
I only deliver the final edited images, as these represent my style and my brand.

What payment methods do you accept?
I can take card payment, bank transfer or cash payment. I do not accept PayPal.

If you still have questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch I’d love to chat and help you feel fully prepared for your session
