The session fee of £70 covers the time and expertise involved in capturing your newborns portraits.
It does not include any digital images or printed products. These are purchased separately after your viewing session, allowing you to choose exactly what you love.
Image and product collections are available to suit a range of budgets and preferences.
Whether you’re looking for posed, or natural images - I offer both sessions to ensure I capture what every client wants.
Expecting a Baby? Here’s How Pre-Booking Works:
You’re welcome to pre-book your newborn session before your baby arrives!
We will simply choose a provisional date close to your due date, and I will also reserve a backup date around week 43 to accommodate any later arrivals.
Don’t worry if your baby arrives earlier or later I’m flexible and will work with you to find the perfect time.
Once your baby is born, just send me a quick message and we’ll confirm the best date for your session together.
If your baby has already arrived, feel free to book your preferred session date directly.
1.Sessions typically take place within the first 2-3 weeks after birth.
2. I provide a calm, warm, and safe environment for you and your baby.

It’s best to pre-book during pregnancy ideally in the second trimester to secure your preferred date, as spots fill up quickly!

What to Expect During Your Newborn Session
All newborn sessions take place Monday to Friday at 10am and typically last 2 to 3 hours.
When you arrive, we’ll start by feeding your baby.
If your baby is breastfed, you can feed them until they’re nice and full.
If your baby is bottle-fed, I’ll feed them myself so they can get used to me.
Once your baby is comfortably full, I’ll begin gently posing them on my posing table.
The first position helps with winding and gets your baby accustomed to how I move them during the session.
It also gives me a chance to observe what your baby likes and dislikes.
After finishing the table posing, we’ll move on to props.
This part is usually quicker because your baby remains partially wrapped, so there’s less fussing.
I typically use 3-4 props during this part of the session and this is also when younger siblings can join in.
Parents and older siblings are included last, which often coincides with baby’s awake time.
This way, baby can be comfortably held while awake, making it easier for everyone to enjoy.
Before your session, I’ll send you a prep guide along with a form to collect your colour preferences.
Each session is tailored to you.
If you’ve opted for the Natural and lifestyle session instead of the posed session, the flow is similar.
We will start by feeding your baby and I start on the posing table.
I invite parents to join in during this part, by incorporating your hands, and your face leaning down towards baby.
Some posing is done so that baby is not only comfortable but looks beautiful in the images.
Once the table posing has finished, your baby will be swaddled and moved to a beautiful wicker moses basket for a few simple prop shots.
This is ideal for siblings or even pets. It also helps me transition from the table to the prop area and helps them drift back off to sleep.
I have an additional large day bed where more relaxed posing will also be done.
Backlit parent and family images will be done once we are nearing the end, and this is the perfect time for skin on skin, and I always advise for baby to be naked (and dad and mum to be topless too)
Feel free to let me know if you have favourite props from my collection although some props are chosen based on your baby’s weight and may or may not be suitable.
You’re also very welcome to bring any special items to your session, and I’ll do my best to incorporate them.
