Press Release Local Photographer gains Prestigious National Recognition Local Photographer kath Evans has achieved the distinction of being named as a ‘Master Craftsman’ with the Guild of Professional Photographers – She is now one of only a very small number of photographers currently holding this prestigious title in the whole of the UK; one of only 7 to achieve Master Craftsman in the category of Newborn and Babies! The Guild of Photographers is the highly regarded international photographic body whose members are dedicated to enhancing their skills in the art, craft and profession of photography. Members of the Guild are committed to achieving the highest standards of professionalism for the benefit of their customers. They pledge themselves to deliver the highest standards of customer service and to a journey of continuing professional development. Recognition as a ‘Master Craftsman’ is the pinnacle of that journey. Becoming a ‘Master Craftsman’ with the Guild involves a very rigorous assessment process, hence the award is granted only to photographers who can evidence that they deliver the very highest standard of images. Not only is kath Evans one of only a very small number of photographers to hold this title, she is actually one of only seven Newborn and Baby photographers currently holding the Title and the first in wales! Which shows just how remarkable an achievement this is! Lesley Thirsk (a Director of the Guild of Photographers) said that she is “delighted that kath has achieved this accolade! It is only awarded to those that evidence truly exceptional photographic skill to a Panel of internationally recognised experts from a variety of photographic backgrounds. She is an amazing photographer and thoroughly deserves this recognition”. kath said that she is “overwhelmed and humbled to have achieved this Award, seeing it as being a result of many years’ hard work, as well as a reflection of my commitment to deliver only the very best service to all my customers”.
